South Morang Junior Football Club The Lion's Tale

******HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL OUR MUMS!******

We currently have a playing list of 43 players, which should give us two teams of 22 & 21.The blue team has been promoted to Div 2 as they were undefeated after the first 4 rounds in div3.Unfortunately we have 8 players out injured and 1 suspended. Last weekend the Blue team played with 18 and the gold with 13 they both lost, this obviously is not acceptable. The club has made the decision this week to make the blue team up of players from both teams to field a full 24, to have a chance of winning. This unfortunately means the gold will give a walkover, all of the players have been briefed on this and are ok with this. We intend for this to be only for 1 week. We need to find another 6 players in the next week if you know of anyone who is interested please put them in contact with us. 

Next Wednesday 14th May we will have a number of Carlton players come and join us at training. They will be here from around 5.00pm to 7.00pm. We ask that you train well on this night and think of any football related questions you would like to ask the players during their visit.

There are still plenty of sponsorship opportunities available so please don’t hesitate to speak to Shaun, Mark or Jenny. Your support of one of the largest junior football clubs in the Northern Suburbs will be greatly appreciated. There are a variety of packages available, so please come and speak to us. The Dinner Dance has been booked for Saturday night August 2nd from 6.00pm til late. 
Tickets are available for $65 per head.  Also selling tables of 8 for $500 which is a 5% saving. 
So grab a few of your friends together and book a table and enjoy a fun night out to end the season.

Notices and payment envelopes went out to all players on Wednesday night. If you missed yours please see your Team Manager. Make sure you take notice of when your team’s photos are being taken.  With the number of teams we now have, photos are being taken over three nights. On your night please come in your home playing uniform. Envelopes and payment need to be in prior to, or on the night of your teams photo shoot.
