Junior & Youth Girls Sides for 2012
With the success of the Youth Girls 13 – 17 Year Old program in2011, we are pleased to announce that we will be having two teams for the 2012 season. A number of girls have already pre-registered so if you are interested please nominate asap.
They have already started preseason training. If you are interested please call David Craig on 0412 750 988.
In 2012 the NFL will be starting a Junior Girls 9 - 12 Year old competition. This will be starting approximately 4 weeks after the general season starts. We are taking expressions of interest now, so you can forward your interest to the secretary by email on jennycalvi@bigpond.com.
DFS Pre-Season Program
The committee has again agreed to utilize the services of Dynamic Footy Skills in the 2012 season.
First up will be a pre season program starting on Tuesday 14th Feb 2012 for 1.5 hours and running for six weeks at a venue to be advised. The aim is prepare players for the upcoming season and will include Skill Development, Goal KickingTechnique, Game Sense Training,Tackling Technique, as well as Video recording and Dartfish analysis of each player’s kicking action. This Pre-Season program will be aimed at SMJFC players who want to gain that ‘edge’ during the pre-season, by completing extra quality training sessions, which would complement their existing team pre-season training. Players will be grouped by age, such as10 to 13 and 14 to 17 years. Groups could be broken up further depending on numbers. Cost $88.00 per player. This equates to $9.78 per hour. There is not much you can get for under $10 an hour these days. DFS are also discounting these sessions as part of their sponsorship to SMJFC.
